Objectives
The students are able to plan and design bridges in the course of traffic routes and their intersections. They master the strategies of conceptual design and are able to develop different structural and construction variants from the specific boundary conditions of the respective situation. In addition, students can model, calculate and design the load-bearing structure of a bridge, starting from the design. They master the problem-oriented modeling of bridge structures, the CAE-supported calculation of internal forces and the design and construction of bridges. This module focuses on steel and composite bridges. By means of different bridge structures, different types of bridge construction are developed and compared with the students.
